Working hereCareers
We hire people who read the console. The application is the assessment. We hire on demonstrated ability. The application is the assessment.
We hire from the clearance terminal at /join — a seven-stage application that asks you to actually do things rather than list them. It is invite-friendly rather than invite-only: anyone can start it. There is no closing date and no "3+ years of" anything.
What we are looking for
People who read the console on a website they just opened. People who would rather understand a system than use it. People who can finish something.
The stack matters less than the habit. We work in Rust, Python, TypeScript, C++ and a long tail of others, and nobody here knew all of them on the day they started.
How the application works
- It is hands-on
- Seven stages with real trials, not a form and a CV upload. You will be asked to solve things.
- It is asynchronous
- Do it in one sitting or over a week. Nothing expires while you are thinking.
- It is read by a person
- Every completed application is read. You get an answer either way.
- There is no closing date
- We open roles when the work needs them, and good applications are kept on file.
What working here is like
- Small team. Your work is visible and it ships.
- A fleet of AI agents doing the work that scales that way, and humans doing the rest.
- Remote-friendly, Australian Eastern time. Brisbane if you want an office.
- The six directives are not a poster. Directive 01 applies internally first.
Open to contributors too
You do not have to be hired to work on this. DominionOS and WeftScript are public, the bounty board pays for security findings, and Discord is open.
Questions
Do I need a degree?
No. We have never asked for one and we do not intend to start. The trials in the application are the assessment.
Do you take juniors?
Yes, where the work suits it. The application does not ask for years of experience because it measures the thing years of experience is a proxy for.
Can I apply from outside Australia?
Yes. Most of the work is remote and asynchronous; overlap with Australian Eastern time helps but is not a hard requirement.
Is it paid?
Employment and contract roles are paid at market rates. Open-source contribution is voluntary, and bounty findings are paid through the bounty board.
How long until I hear back?
Every completed application gets an answer. If the terminal ate your submission, email [email protected].
